I believeHe is in hospice care on 5mg (or ml...? Whichever the "appropriate dosage" is...) and he is still in pain. They give him 5 units every 8 hours...and they've continued his insulin. I don't want to just kill him but he goes in and out of pain and after reading about morphine and having conversations with others, more can be administered safely.

Also the nurses are unexperienced on how to handle stroke patients. They aren't train to transfer patients from a wheel chair to the bed. They also do not respond right away if patient need assistance. It takes 1 and a half hour for someone to come. Unfortunately I was informed that after visiting hours, the patient is just left there alone and is not being taken care of. We had requested to take our family member out of this nursing center since it is putting her in higher risk of danger.

Unfortunately, he passed 2 days later and I had been tried to retrieve his belongings during the last few weeks with fruitless result. These people claimed that they had no record of such in their inventory as well as any record of me bringing anything over. They should have reviewed their CCTV and known that I did give the reception desk 3 bags of items instead of playing games with me. So don’t use them under any circumstance...

A trip to the hospital later turned into a nightmare. We opted for no amputation because he has been through too much already and we just want him to be comfortable and no suffering. I feel in my heart he has suffered too much at this place and I can't wait to close this chapter of the book.
Pavilion has to be the WORST place, ever. From, the time my mom first had to stay there for rehab we saw it was dirty and dangerous! My mom also had to go there for dialysis, from there she kept getting infection after infection. On December 14th, 2019 my momma died from MRSA that she contracted from the dialysis machine not being properly cleaned, and she also suffered multiple strokes.
We spoke to the nurse manager and she did nothing to help us figure out who was working that shift. They would leave him in dirty diapers and not help him eats his food. Just because there’s some staff members who do well with your loved ones doesn’t mean they will all will treat them with the same respect. Worst rehabilitation/nursing home on earth. Some of them take an hour to eat, and with 3 CNAs, it was impossible. My husband suffered a brain aneurysm and was transferred to The Pavilion for rehab with a trach. Within two weeks his trach was removed and I walked in on him almost dying. After he was stabilized, I asked how can we make sure this doesn't happen again. The supervisor's response was "what's the problem, he's alive right?" I was shocked and had no choice but to leave him there, just for him to be sent to Jamaica Hospital by 911 a few hours later. At the hospital I found out he had pneumonia from asperating on his own vomit which caused other complications that he died from.
This place doesn't even deserve one star. Please listen to the reviews, I wish I would of read them before I sent my mom here. My Mother had a tracheotoperation done and was sent here shortly after. My mom called me complaining of pain, something wasn't right. I went there and they were short staff. I asked the nurse for some Advil to help stop the pain, he never came back.
